South Wind 1101

This is a great location and place to stay. It was large enough for the extended family. It was great having direct beach access and use of the pools and hot tubs. I would recommend.

However, I will be more cautious when booking corporate ran places going forward. Having only basic supplies of 1 toilet paper roll, 1 dishwasher soap run, etc is more hassle and costly than it is worth. When I stay at privately owned places all of this is taken care of. I don't have to worry about buying a small dishwasher soap so I can run the dishwasher while I'm there, etc.

Also, be cautious, when staying here, if you leave the windows open to get a cross breeze (and not use the A/C), your fire alarms will go off due to the humanity. I called the corporate number and they had no clue and were not concerned. We found out from neighbors as to the humidity issue.

We were very pleased with the rental overall. It was spacious enough for our 10 person family. The large dining room table was a nice feature. The large wrap around balcony was great. We were already talking about renting it in the future. The biggest downside may have been the dryer. It is dated and did not dry clothes as quickly as one would expect.

We were a family of 6 adults so space was important. The description and photos we saw were accurate- it was a beautiful spot. The view from the balcony was amazing - we even saw dolphins! This condo had a well equipped kitchen, four bedrooms with comfortable beds and exceptionally clean. The location was good - right at the beach but also a good size pool and lazy river.

I spent a 4-day weekend with 6 sibs in a corner unit, and we enjoyed all aspects of our stay. We were able to check in early when we called as requested. No problem with parking even when we needed a 3rd pass for a visitor. The beach was great and the balcony view was phenomenal. Furnishings were as pictured and were comfortable for us to spend hours visiting. Beds all slept comfortably. Kitchen was well equipped. Our only complaint was that there was no screen in the sliding glass door and we were specifically instructed not to leave the door open because it would set off the smoke alarms. My brother stayed at a high rise just a few blocks away and they had no such requirement. We have stayed in other condos at other beaches and never had a problem. We come to the beach when the weather is more moderate and missed being able to open the door to hear the surf and feel the breeze. Finally, we followed the restaurant recommendations provided by Luxury Rentals and had all wonderful meals and service. It was a great experience.

Fantastic long weekend with friends
We rented Southwind 1101 for a long weekend and valentines day trip with 3 other couples. The 4 br property was spotless and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything we could ask for which was great because we prefer to cook rather than go out for dinners. Everyone agreed the beds were comfortable and the dual thermostats allowed one couple to keep their area a little warmer than the rest of the unit. The Best part by far was the HUGE wrap around balcony with lots of high quality furniture. We sat out every morning and had coffee and watched the sunrise. Truly spectacular view up and down the entire Myrtle Beach strand. The indoor hot tub was a great feature as well., Too cold to use the outdoor pools and hot tubs. We are already planning a return this summer and we will be booking Southwind 1101.

Condo was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The view from our balcony was beautiful and the beach was just a short walk away. The kitchen was stocked with cookware, utensils, cups, glasses etc., and there was even a storage area with chairs and body boards for the beach. Everyone had a wonderful time on our vacation. I would definitely recommend this rental!

We loved staying at the southwind . It’s a great condo, in a great location. We have stayed here many times and have always been pleases with our rentals. Our condo was very clean and ready on time.

We had a great experience at South Wind. Room 1101 was just what we had hoped for. It was clean, very spacious, and well maintained. We had a beautiful oceanfront view. The pools were clean and we loved being directly on the beach. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from within just a few miles. We would definitely return.

Wonderful! We had a few little things wrong in the condo when we got there but all I had to do was email Luxury and we had someone come right away to fix the small issues. The rooms from luxury are always well kept and clean. This is our 5th year using Luxury and we have no complaints and will keep using them for years to come.

Property was as advertised. Great view of the ocean and a very easy walk to the beach. Area was very quiet and the beach was not crowded. The condo met our needs with six adults and five children. Would stay again.

The rental experience was amazing!!! Everything was perfect and as described. The condo was so spacious. The direct oceanfront made everything perfect. We honestly did not want to leave. I knew Myrtle Beach had some nice places but didn’t realize they had places this nice. The amenities were great and the place was very close to the attractions, restaurants and shopping. We had a great week in this unit - the size was perfect for our large family, and everything was quite clean. The one downside for us was that the building fire alarm (not just our unit) went off three times in the week we stayed and we had to evacuate - once at 3 am. Otherwise we loved it. Great view, loved the corner balcony, and the full-sized table for family meals.

We stayed here last here for Christmas. For Thanksgiving this year we got a bigger place (4bedrooms). It was very spacious and clean. Everyone didn’t feel on top of each other. We were worried that even though it could sleep 12, it would only have dishes for 4 but it didn’t. We will definitely make this our place to stay whenever we come to Myrtle Beach.

The condo was perfect for the 4 friends that had to get away from our covid lives. It was clean and spacious and the kitchen was well stocked with all of our cooking needs. The balcony was the best feature of this lovely condo. We all would recommend it.

Stayed for five nights with friends, found the condo super clean and larger than expected. The ample amount of seating in the living area gave everyone in our party a place to stretch out for tv/movies. The kitchen was huge and well equipped for making meals for us all along with updated appliances. The dishwasher did make a horrible noise that could be heard throughout the condo but only when starting and the dishes came out clean. The large dining area meant we could all be seated together for dinner and there was enough room with the provided seating/tables on the balcony to enjoy dinner outside one night. Condo is updated and we found everything to be in working condition and clean. We will be back for sure! Luxury Beach Rentals was a pleasure to work with.

This is truly a fantastic condo! Pictures do not do it justice from the inside to the balcony and it’s view!! Very clean! Facilities were great including pools and access to the beach! If I had to provide ANY Negative feedback on what needs to be changed would be to get a pizza cutter and a few pans for the oven. Really minor almost not worth mentioning. There also were not oven mitts but I almost attribute that to COVID policy. Will definitely stay here again and would recommend to everyone!! Seriously could not have asked for better accommodations!

The condo was awesome, tons of space! But the balcony itself was worth the cost of renting! It was huge...we spent so much time out there eating, relaxing, reading...The kitchen was nicely equipped and the 10 seat dining table worked perfectly for the 7 of us eating a nice dinner and card games after. The beach area in front of the condo was nice and we had plenty of room without feeling crowded like they were a little further down the beach. Very happy with our stay.
